Lovely place to come for a walk or to chill out for a bit. It was popular when I visited, but wasn't too busy such that you could still walk around and find empty benches (though it was a bitter January day, so I can imagine during summer this location may be very busy).
Plenty of ducks and geese to feed (please research food that is good for them - no bread!).
It is very easy to get here from the railway station, though there is also a small car park available.
Nice for dog walks, especially if you want access to water. Easy parking. Paths can get quite muddy though.
Well laid out pocket sized park, visited for the first time in winter. Looks like it has the potential for a lot of wildlife in summer. Didn't visit the cafe but intend to return in spring and summer when the weather is better. Large free car park.
Loved this place, we've never been before and it's right on our doorstep.
We bought ice creams from the cafe as my grandson wanted one, they were so good.
We picked some BlackBerries and cooking apples from the hidden orchard and I made a pie the day after.
There a park there also which my grandson enjoyed.
The lake is lovely, you can buy a bag of seed from the cafe for £1 to feed the ducks on the lake.
Great little walk with children. You can see birds in the lakes and the little playground is great for 1-3/4 year olds.
Very icy and the paths had not been salted, cold weather had been here for 3 days so every opportunity to salt causing danger to walkers, be aware that the benches in front of the car parks facing the pond are laid on flags that protrude above ground level causing a trip hazard, nice to watch the birds though
Great for bird lovers, or just a stroll around the lakes. Plus a play area for the kids and a cafe (takeaway only at the moment), a lovely relaxing couple of hours with the family.
Lovely water park for all the family and fishermen alike.
Plenty to do, lots of walks.
And a cafe which looks very nice
